Patchwork Dreams Quiltshop

Saturday, March 29th, is the last day at the shop. And yes we are going to wine, so bring some cheese! I figured if we are all going to whine and cry, we might as well be drinkin' it! Many of you are bringing food so breakfast and lunch will be provided!

Everything is 60% off - 75% off if you finish the bolt! And we are NOT cutting anything smaller than a yard! The goal is to sell the remaining fabric - and frankly, anything smaller could seriously cut into my party time! There are still about 500 bolts left so there is quite a selection - and it is all top quality, pretty stuff! I didn't buy UGLY!

And, we will be having hourly specials - just remind me every hour on the hour - and I'll think of something!

There are still some fabric shelving units available, the book rack, some card racks, and thread racks. So, bring a truck - we'll help you fill it up! But, be warned, if you bring a man in the shop, he will know why you never missed a quilt class - 'cause tomorrow is NOT the day to watch what we say!!! This rule does not apply if these men are single - and interested in dating soon to be ex-shop owners who have a fondness for "iced tea"!

Remember, this is not good-bye. I am still having classes at my house and we already have our first reunion planned in June when the book comes out! So bring your address book so you can exchange information with all of your friends! Maybe it's time you actually learned their last names!!!!

See you tomorrow! Penny

This is the beginning of a week long "going away" party - so come in and join the fun. The classroom will be in place all week so come in and sew. We'd love to have you. I am going to be in as much as possible all week - and hope to see everyone.

We still have lots of fabrics, wools, threads, etc. left - and this week it is all 60% off - so come in and take advantage of these last minute bargains. Patrick moved all of the fabric on Saturday so we even "prettied up" for the sale!

Class Changes

I will be going to Maumee March 31st to April 3rd so those classes will be moved to the second week of the month - at my house! The classes that were originally schedule for Wednesday, April 2nd (Dear Jane #36 at 10:30; and my book - Chapter #11 at 12:00) will meet on April 9th. The Centennial Class #16 scheduled for Thursday, April 3rd at 6:00 will meet on April 10th.

All of the other classes will meet at their regularly scheduled times! I can't wait to see everyone!

We are wrapping up things at the shop - and will be open through March 29th - next Saturday. And, we are going to have a party that day! Many of you wanted to stop in and say hi - and stay awhile. We are having a pot luck, snacks, and drinks. But, if you don't have time to cook that is fine too.

Many of you asked if I would put together a directory so you would be able to contact each other. Many of you have become friends and want to stay in touch. We are putting a list together - so sign up if you are willing to share!

Also, Larry sent bills to anyone who had an open house charge account. I did not have a chance to go through them before they were mailed, so if you got one in error, call and let him know. Or, if you need to set up a payment plan, you can make the arrangements with him. We need to settle everything before the divorce hearing April 23rd. Yes, we finally have a date!

I am also setting up a class schedule that will start in April - that should go out on Monday. Because of my job at Checker, I will have to change some classes around - but not too much. Remember, classes will start meeting at my house in April.

Also, many of you would like me to start another Nearly Insane class and Centennial class. I will see what I can do. I am going to try to combine classes so that I will have evening classes, Saturday classes and daytime classes. If I play my cards right, you guys will keep me honest and I'll have to clean my house EVERY week!

There is still plenty of stuff left in the shop - there are probably still 1,000 bolts of fabric, threads, books, patterns, etc. And, there are still shelving units, DMC floss cabinets, card racks, etc. available for sale. The sewing machines, class tables, hutch, double rocker, and chairs are gone.

Embroidery floss is now 10 for a $1.00. So take advantage of the deal!

Many of the girls are going on Spring break next week - so Patrick and I will be covering the shop most of the time. Stop in and say hi! I would love to see all of you. The classroom will still be set up, so come in for open sew.

Then, on Saturday, people will be picking up tables, etc., and we will be having the party - and final sale - stop in for the last of the bargains!

And speaking of parties, we already have another one planned! Many of you are finishing up my book classes, Dear Janes, Nearly Insane, and Centennial Quilt classes - or have in the past. We have decided to have a "reunion" show and tell the third Wednesday in September - at 6:00 at my house! We are going to grill out and have a potluck so come join the fun! I can't wait to see all of the beautiful quilts! And, I know if I don't give you deadlines, you will set them aside and not get to them for a good long time!

Rae Howard was named Artist of the Year at the guild meeting Tuesday night! I am so proud of her. It is so deserved! She has been finishing up projects like crazy - and starting new ones. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Hope to see you soon and have a Happy Easter! Love, Penny
